William Payne Photography was established in 1978, to create photography for clients in the marine industry.  Each aspect of photography has evolved over the years, encompassing a wide variety of assignments and serving a broad client base.  William specialises in producing high quality action photography afloat, travelling worldwide to wherever the job demands.

To complement the dynamic action of sail and power, every photographic application requires an insight to the style and atmosphere 'below decks'.  The similarity between photography of super-yacht interiors and prestige property has caused the luxury yacht interior work to diversify, since the early eighties, to include large property interiors, earning William a reputation as a specialist in this field of work.  His interest in interior photography blends and contrasts well with the excitement of action photography, resulting in a rewarding variety of work.

Aerial photography has also extended from its original focus over the sea, to areas of land and property, again adding to the photographic services offered by William Payne Photography.

In addition to his freelance work, William has been contracted as staff photographer on Motor Boats Monthly magazine for the past 16 years.

As a result of rapidly escalating developments in digital technology, all assignments are now handled on digital format.  Whilst taking care to retain all the qualities of traditional photography, the time and cost saved in using digital media is a welcome advantage to the client.
